NEWLY SURFACED LENNON SIGNED IMAGINE ALBUM???

What's your opinions on this Lennon autographed IMAGINE album from WFIL?

I believe it's AUTHENTIC. That would make it one only 12? Known to exist. I used to own one and sold it at GOTTAHAVEROCKANDROLL auctions. This has probably one of the best placed signatures I've seen on an IMAGINE album. It also has the doodle and the year, which is rare for WFIL. I only know of a few others with the doodle.

I feel it is very similar to this WFIL signed TWO VIRGINS.

Pictured is another from WFIL with the doodle and year which looks like it reads 78 but its 75.

Also pictured is a 1975 test press album inner sleeve signed by John. Pretty similar doodle and date formations.

I like the fact it has the doodle and year which is SPOT ON to my eyes. It gives more forensics for you to look at other than an autograph which can be practiced over and over.

This one had a kodak instamatic photo with the camera that took the photo shortly before the autograph was taken. It also had the pen.

And I understand you. Less have left my possession than those which i saw were no good that could have possibly been put in someone else's possession without my input and interference. There is a lack of understanding and a stigma of uncertainty and fear amongst a majority of the collective community of advanced collectors and authentication services. A possible number of at least 3,000 autographs from this event are out there just hidden away, forgotten or have been outright ostracized from the consensus of so called vast majority opinion of these parties, despite their validity of authenticity. This is why I got into theses autographs in particular and started seeking them via Craigslist ads in the Philadelphia and greater Pennsylvania area. I only want more study and understanding than the overly stigmatized fear and putting of reputations first just to say "I don't think it's authentic" when it very well could be. But it's "WFIL"...

WFIL Man has confirmed in this discussion that he has owned, offered or sold every one of these:

Member Nick Dimeo pointed out that #13 below is the same autograph as #4. He owns it and is extremely happy with it. See his reply after this one.

#4 & #13 are the same Lennon autograph. I should know I purchased it from Wfil Man and am extremely happy with it and do not at all question the authenticity. Epperson gives it his seal of approval, and oh by the way I have texts where Roger is trying to purchase it.

Thanks for pointing that out, Nick. I just noted that above #13.

The ones I saw didn't concern me at all until I saw so many similar ones together from the same source.

Gotcha! I don’t know squat about Lennon’s post Beatles signature habits so I relied on both WFIL Man to educate me and Epperson to give me his thumbs up in order to purchase the autograph. I cannot speak for any of the other Lennon exemplars listed. I also had thought I purchased the autograph in the Buy/Sell area but I now see it was in the General Discussion Area, that was my mistake.

Nick, not catching things being sold in the regular forum is my fault. I wasn't watching things carefully enough. I'm not allowing buying or selling at all here right now because I'm worried being able to properly monitor it.

And keep in mind, I'm not a Beatles expert like Roger is, and Beckett certified at least one too.

I had purchased #12 through Jesse after getting it eyeballed by Epperson. Later had it authenticated by JSA too.

(I knew the risks going into it and that the forum has no liability and did some homework first before buying.)

I find Jesse to be a very valuable member here and very knowledgeable on the topic of WFIL Lennons.

WFIL Man has also confirmed in this discussion that he has owned, offered or sold every one of these Lennons:

I forgot I had this larger version of the same image of B so I'm adding it 40 minutes after this reply posted:

E is gone. It was destroyed.

I just added a larger, sharper version of the same image of B under the original one.
