Just a general heads up - SCP Merchandising, which handles merch for a number of artists, went under this past weekend. They completely stopped shipping product and aren't issuing refunds for pending orders. Best course of action for unshipped orders is to open a credit card dispute.

I'm thinking not a lot of us having pending orders with them (I noticed my last Tate McRae order was shipped by a different vendor), but they did have some significant clients and rising stars (Carly Rae Jepsen, Father John Misty, Mitski, Chappel Roan, Dashboard Confessional, etc).

Another PledgeMusic…

Different business model I think - SCP was more of a standard merch vendor. But same frustration.

My biggest beef with them in the past had been they way they handled Tate McRae's initial vinyl releases (the limited 7" vinyl that was rubber stamped). Otherwise They'd been . . . okay, I guess? The last think I ordered from them was the Chappell Roan signed CD, which I cancelled last month following some shady delays.

I mean another as in not fulfilling the obligation possibly…

Yeah. I didn't realize until one of their clients (Eliza McLamb) called them out on her Instagram Story.

just got an official letter informing me of the bankruptcy filing and letting me know that they had protection against trying to collect from them now but luckily my Paypal case settled a few days ago and I was already refunded

Seems like the artists themselves also got hosed in this ordeal.

It's a raw deal for everyone involved, but that's what bankruptcy is.  They are out of money, or they owe more than they have.

People should jump on trying to get a refund immediately, as part of bankruptcy is "protection from creditors".

That is exactly why I filed the PayPal claim right away, I learned my lesson after getting screwed on the Pledge Music bankruptcy years ago

I was surprised that they handled the on-site tour merch to this extent. I figured they were solely the online order vendor.
