I am surprised this allegially passed Epperson.  This has a lot of Bakker traids.

That an online quick opinion is just an online quick opinion. A quick look. Nothing more.

Personally, I find it a bit confusing that Roger says "looks authentic in my opinion" about this autograph. A small assessment of whether it is worth pursuing a detailed evaluation such as a COA or LOA. For this reason, I would not rate a quick opinion too highly.

A certified evaluation, which is of course more complex and expensive, is a different story.

I have serious doubts about this autograph. Too much is not right. And 3,200 euros is a lot of money. Hopefully the buyer won't regret it at some point later. I would have kept my hands off it here. But that's just the way it is.

Regards, Karsten

Yes - just an opion - as all COAs are in the end if they are not written by the first owner but a reseller or authenticator.

But the QO leads to a sale. Therefor the opinion is a good way to help a potential sale and to secure the buyer in a certain way. Not every collector has the time to do some research himself and has to trust the opinion of experienced collectors. This only if the one giving the QO is good in his work.

My experience with these QO is not a good one. I have seen so many of these where myself and other experienced collectors have a different opinion and I heard from others where an autograph was certified good on an album that came out after the death of the person allegially signing this. It is also difficult to certify a huge lot of different artist if we notice that it is nearly impossible to be always right with one band or one musician as with Beatles or Elvis as they have different styles themselves over the years...

Personally I prefer the opinion of experts who just concentrate on very few artists.
