A flawed Zeppo

I shared this on a Marx Brothers forum earlier today and it got lots of love...so I thought I'd share here as it's autograph related.

I'm taking in a damaged autograph. It's a vintage index card signed by Zeppo Marx.

The seller of it had been auctioning off their late relative's autograph collection and this was part of it. Unfortunately, the seller had a mishap with some packing tape and part of "Marx" got stuck. I wrote the seller after noticing the listing had been withdrawn and they told me about the tape accident. I offered $10 for it AS IS and they accepted.

I realize it's flawed. However, Zeppo is a bit harder to find in anything besides the many 1970s era business checks of his that have been circulating for years. I have his older brothers Groucho, Harpo and Chico on another fairly closely matching index card...so this will be just fine!

Awesome! Love Groucho personally. I still watch “You Bet Your Life” episodes. They were innovators for sure.

Thanks, Doug. They were innovators indeed. The Marx Bros. have been one of my lifelong favorite comedy teams.

Thanks, I agree! It was sold with a battered, early edition copy of Groucho's first book BEDS. I got it for just a little over the price of the book, basically.
