I recently bought this Michael Jackson signed napkin on Ebay. While I have no doubts that the signature is authentic I am curious to know what year this would have been signed in? Do you guys have any opinion on it?

Thanks in advance!

Would appreciate any opinion, I‘m always really curious to learn more about the autographs that I own :)

Perhaps 1976 or so? I would want to know that before I purchase as that is connected to what I would pay. among many other things.

Thanks Eric! I agree with you but in this case it was decently priced for a very neat and fully legible autograph that has been certified by PSA and Roger Epperson. Plus the seller was a dealer so he didn‘t know anything about its origin unfortunately.

Yes, but is it the format that is holding it down IMO. Other similar period sigs in ink on paper were bringing about $100+ more at that time and prior. There is little market for signed napkins, pencil or other. I have seen people trying to get full value for vintage Gleason or Bowie PSA signed napkins. The market is not really there.

The seller wasn't a dealer?

In a market where probably 95% of MJ signatures are fake or secretarial, I‘m just really happy to own an authentic one. I have no concerns value wise, authentic autographs will get harder and harder to find and the prices will develop accordingly.
The seller wasn‘t an autograph dealer but a sportscards business. They probably sold this for one of their customers I‘d imagine.

I did not look at authenticity. I was looking for style and year to answer your question regarding age. The slab means nothing to me.

It started out raw at RR for $296 on Nov. 11th, 2013.

Yes, that is correct. I saw that beforehand.
