Authenticity is Everything
Helo
I am not sure that this posted, so I am going to retry. This is a 1956 Eleanor roosevelt letter that was sent to a family friend. I have covered the family name at their request.
Look good??

Appears so to me.

Thank you. I also thought it looked fine.
The signature appears to be made with a rubber stamp Mr. Roosevelt often used in corresponding with admirers.
I have seen many of her letters from this era (and I own a couple) and I've never seen one with a rubber-stamped signature.
The free frank signature on the envelopes, on the other hand, was almost always rubber-stamped.
To me, the signature on the letter above has the look of a fountain pen signature.
Definitely genuine. I have 3 handwritten letters by her to Aunt Maude Hall Gray.
