This listing has fascinated me for a decade. I want some participation here! PSA, BAS, JSA wouldn’t touch it. It’s worded very cleaver. Bottom line:

Do you believe this is Doc Holliday’s one of two (potentially) known signatures?

you are right, it is interesting.  what did it sell for ?

I believe back then around $16,000 which means it would push $35-$40K in today’s market. Thats a ton of cash for something deemed unverifiable by the big 3. People in love with the old west are investing in a dream. It’s a bad dream I fear.

I would need a heck of a lot more provenance to shell that kind of money out. I mean, why even risk it seeing as there are so little exemplars out there.

I think people want to believe it so badly, they convince themselves there’s a better than not odds it’s him. If there was a PSA slabbed Doc Holliday Check to exist it would be well north of $500,000.

But someone will pay $20,000 on a super slim chance I guess. Heritage really puts on the sauce in that description. Almost misleading.

plus one.

so where does it say that the major authentication companies wouldnt authenticate it?
