New Harrison Ford private signings!!!

Harrison Ford seems to keep warming up to the idea of autographs. For a few years now, Harrison has shown that he is not only one of the best actors in history, he is also one of the best signers too.

While he has been signing at every event and appearance he shows up at, he has been increasing his private signings too.

Those photos are the classics and the quality of the items and Harrisons signatures from these signings are PERFECT! I have ordered from the Official Pix signings each time Harrison has signed. I ordered the Indiana Jones 11x14 for this signing as well.

The 1st two Harrison signings for Official Pix sold out in mere seconds ( 13 I think ).

Thanks for doing this Mr. Ford! You show why you are the GREATEST!!

While not as rare as before his "private" signings are still well controlled. There may be an occassion to snag a free one but I doubt TTM is going to be a viable option.

Talking with Derek the other day and there are a number of items he has signed... trying to get a list or he may publlsh on his site once he gets back from vacation.

There have been a few real Ford's that have come TTM (like 2). But this last batch of sit down had a lot to be desired. It was really a hit or miss. I had the opportunity to meet him, got a nice one I think. I've seen worse.

I got 2 from Harrison myself ( my Magazine interview that he signed and a photo signed and inscribed to me ) I didn't send them to him but I will count them as TTM.

speaking of Fords... was speaking with Derek Maki the other day on why isn't there a reference page of "known" signings that he has approved that can be used by collectors or dealers as the case may be. Thus they are known to be authentic. This is not to indicate perhaps an all inclusive list or "other sources" but as I say there would be little debate if a Harrison can be directly tied to one of them.

Hi Guys,

Just to let you know thankfully I have removed the Ford autograph from that ugly self-adhesive and through internet advice, have now placed it into a clear pocket and put it into an archival box.

The leaves are made out of a particular substance which was recommended - spent a while in Staples last night trying to find the right material.

At the moment, they are in an archival box I bought as well. They should be alright in there. At the moment they are on a shelf in my room, out of direct contact with the sun and normal light.

Looking at my current framed items, some have stood the test of time whilst others (not many) have diminished badly.

How long should you leave it before you look at your photos again?

Robin,

Don't feel like u have to lock it away. Display that puppy. As long as you use archival material, you will be fine. Most custom framers have all the acid free material and uv protected glass.

The problem is that most custom framers that say they do archival framing really don't do it to proper standards.

That's why customers must research, ask for, and even order the appropriate materials. There are lots of good options and resources that a good framer can order from. However, a collector has the responsibility of being informed and finding a quality framer.

You would be surprised how many times I would see a framing invoice specify a specific museum grade material, such as UV glazing on an invoice, only to find that they used regular glass. In these cases, I would get the occasional call from people saying "My item faded, but it has UV glazing in the frame"

My initial reaction is always either the item does have UV glazing and you are displaying it in a very bright area, like direct sunlight, or it does not. Rarely it is the former, as people know not to hang anything exposed to bright light.

Right on the hanging part.... While visiting an old pal he brought down a signed larry bird he had hanging on the wall and I couldn't help but notice how the signatue had faded and I said where is this hanging.... yup; direct sunlight! Too bad as it was a pic with him on the celtic floor at the old garden.

How can you tell if the glass on something that claims UV is not UV Glazed at all?

Well the coolwater order has arrived with Igor trying to choke out Indiana! Excellent...

and they come with Coolwater's COA for each one, as well as the signings which both have, very visible, the "coolwater seal of approval" on each authorized picture.

with regards to Iluk's (ebay seller) It appears that there was a screw-up at mail receipt time since Coolwater reps were on vacation. While PayPal giveth... they are also known to Taketh back especially if they were suppose to be resent back to Coolwater -vs- being resold on EBAY or offered on AML even though they have been reimbursed. As of this post they have yet to be received.
