Angelina Jolie autograph....Look good?

Hey guys.  Angelina Jolie is my favorite and I found an autograph 8 x 10 on Ebay I really like.  i thought I'd get your expert opinions here first.

i put up photos of some stuff i have including the jolie they are in my photos page but cant link or make albums from this tab tommorow i will post my jolie using wifees macbook.i hope joshua doesnt spend his money on that jolie.

Steve, would you recommend using the PSA quick opinion service to have them evaluate the scan?

Yes, if the Quick Opinion fee counted towards the full COA you'd get if you sent it in. People bitch about PSA/DNA and JSA...including me sometimes, because both could use a boost in quality control in some areas. But I've found the vast majority of their authentication is spot-on.

Some things they're both disappointing in...like classic Hollywood secretarials. And I'm not thrilled with their show authentication unless their top authenticators are looking at the autographs. But JSA and PSA/DNA are right far more than they are wrong and have made autograph collecting much safer than it was before them.

I agree with steve all the way on this one. I could be wrong, but this doesnt look much like the jolie sigs im used to seeing that have been certed by psa or jsa for the exact reason steve said. She has a very wild and unique signature with angular lines going everywhere and they typically are pretty sharp. I just dont like the look of this, but could be wrong. Id go for the quick opinion, and if they say they couldnt render an opinion, id pass on it and go for a more solid one. Odds are you can find one if you are villigant thats real and run it by the members here and save you some money. I hope this helps. Autographworld typically has at least one Jolie sig up each auction that are always authentic. Or at least ive never seen a bad Jolie their. And you might want to check tomorrow, and definetly saturday a little after Noon. Their signature series auction should post tomorrow but no later than saturday, and one of their other monthly auctions ends saturday and they will be posting a new lot. So this weekend their will be two new lots up to search through and their will probably be one their. Ill let you know if i see one. They typically dont go for more than 100 dollars. Pricey but they are authentic. i think the last one i saw went for around the 70 dollar mark. Good luck

Thanks trapper.  I am quite familiar with autographworld on Ebay.  They are one of my favorite Ebay dealers as they are the only ones that have passed all my psa quick opinions.  i just got a Laura Vandervoort, Kristen Davis, and Anna Gunn autographs from them a few days ago.

Thanks for your comments, Trapper. What's so important and interesting--and must drive new collectors crazy--is that even though Anthony Risi is a trusted and respected in person collector from what I've heard (and experienced), no one's autographs are beyond question. Every collector should do his research.

Then they know more about Jolie than we do...which isn't surprising. Since they'll subtract the cost of a quick opinion from a full authentication, I'd get a full auth done.

Thanks for all that Mike!  I feel pretty good about getting this one.  I'll treat myself to a gift since today's my birthday.  Thanks to everybody for their posts as well.  Since I already got the PSA quick opinion I'll get this one certified.
