On December 2, Julien's Auctions is selling The Collection of Tompkins and Bush. The collection contains 465 lots of Michael Jackson memorabilia, 287 of them autographed.

Michael Bush and the late Dennis Tompkins were Michael Jackson's costume designers for 25 years, during Jackson's most successful period. They were the consignors of the signed Thriller jacket that Julien's sold for $1,800,000 in June 2011.

Almost all of the autographs in the Tompkins and Bush sale are a variation I'm not familiar with. I've only been looking at Jackson's autograph for a few years, though, and we have members here who have collected him for decades, so I'd appreciate your input and exemplars.

If you know Michael Jackson's autograph well, please look at a few images below from the auction and let me know what you think. Even better, browse the auction and upload any similar examples you have: http://www.julienslive.com/view-auctions/catalog/id/77/

Julien's is the world's premier auction house for Michael Jackson memorabilia, so they would know his autograph better than most of us. I'm just surprised I haven't seen this style before.

Thanks for your help.

While I don't take a position either way as I am not a fan of Michael Jackson for a number of reasons but I am an avid researcher and draw no conclusions however;

Juliens claims to have a video of Michael signing many of the items that are being questioned in this thread. As I understand they also have been advised that they cannot show it because of the state Michael was in.   They also stand behind the authenticity even though the self proclaimed experts (and I presume on AML) have issues.   There is also a claim that some of the items of the "true" examples being claimed here on AML in fact, according to them, were signed by Miko Brando.

As I said, I have no dogs in this debate so you can take the above for what it is worth.

DB,

Miko Brando  whom I have a great conection with did not sign Michael jackson;s signature on items for sale or items that would normally make it to the public. It is hard for me to explain at this time because there are other issues involved. I can not say for fact but I do not beleive any of the items in question or any of the items seen on AML were signed by Miko.

It may take a little while but I will ask for permission to post Miko's signature and handwriting. It is rare to find anything written or signed by Miko.

Where did you get that, DB?

what do you think Steve?  U of all people should know I try and stay in the middle of the road with many debates.   Mike Frost - seems u are incorrect and your statement would concern me, doesn't it u?.  Then again, Has Julians the evidence to refute all of these claims?

DB,

You said "U of all people should know I try and stay in the middle of the road with many debates." What I know (and you do) is that a number of people have pretended to take you into their confidence and used you. So if you're making statements it's important for you to tell us who has provided you information.

Used me?  Now isn't that the pot calling the kettle black.

and do send me clear & fully supporting information on the bolded items of your statement, "What I know (and you do) is that a number of people have pretended to take you into their confidence and used you".

What should come as no surprise is perhaps how much information you may actually have received on this subject but as we both know you will try to claim it's "confidential" then attempt to influence others into not posting rather than sharing the context w/o the need to devulge sources.  Then when the time is right to discredit, stir it up, or counter a comment you will post it to benefit yourself.

So if that is Juliens position that is their position.  I'm surprised you hadn't thought to ask yourself?  Or did you and A. you have information just waiting to pounce or B. they just don't talk to you.
