On December 2, Julien's Auctions is selling The Collection of Tompkins and Bush. The collection contains 465 lots of Michael Jackson memorabilia, 287 of them autographed.

Michael Bush and the late Dennis Tompkins were Michael Jackson's costume designers for 25 years, during Jackson's most successful period. They were the consignors of the signed Thriller jacket that Julien's sold for $1,800,000 in June 2011.

Almost all of the autographs in the Tompkins and Bush sale are a variation I'm not familiar with. I've only been looking at Jackson's autograph for a few years, though, and we have members here who have collected him for decades, so I'd appreciate your input and exemplars.

If you know Michael Jackson's autograph well, please look at a few images below from the auction and let me know what you think. Even better, browse the auction and upload any similar examples you have: http://www.julienslive.com/view-auctions/catalog/id/77/

Julien's is the world's premier auction house for Michael Jackson memorabilia, so they would know his autograph better than most of us. I'm just surprised I haven't seen this style before.

Thanks for your help.

BTW, can anyone tell me if they've seen this COA from MJJ productions before? Supposedly it was issued for 100 of the Dangerous Tour Backstage passes shown below the COA.

This was offered for $500,000 on eBay.

I found one online -however, it isn't black and white, it has a gold border.  Also has different typed font, and is hand signed (?) by Michael Jackson. http://us.ebid.net/for-sale/michael-jackson-signed-mjj-productions-...  You can click on the photo to enlarge it.   It seems odd to me that the one in the ebay sale would be black and white instead of color like the other things that were put into the ebay ad (the guest pass and the 2 letters from the people authenticating it).  Why wouldn't that be in color as well?  (I saw the letters of "authenticity" on your other thread- in color, not pictured in the above 2 photos).  And why isn't it signed by someone at MJJ Productions?  I've seen a few online actually and all have MJ signatures, but the above is the best one I could find--others are cached versions.

BTW there ya go folks, for 50.00 you can buy an authentic (?) COA from MJJ Productions online and slap it on a fraudulent signed item and call it real with this pc of paper.

I am not an authenticator (no experience what-so-ever).  And look how easy it would be for me to become one.... (or shall I say like some of them :)

Those 500 forged Michael Jackson first day covers, were they the 1993 Super Bowl covers?

Also, I've seen some of these on eBay - signed photos with accompanying certificates. Looking at the forged Dangerous pass you just posted, I'm seeing a similar signature style.  What do you think?

This last one was on a concert program from the 2001 30th Anniversary show at MSG.  Signature also looks similar to the Dangerous pass..

I just noticed something...  This was your example questioning if anyone has seen this COA from MJJ

Then I pointed out one I found on us.ebid.net by a seller by the name of 316Sherm.  Seems "Sherm" has sold those exact passes with that exact COA previously.  http://us.ebid.net/perl/auction.cgi?auction=75887324&mo=auction (found in his feedback)  Note the corners of the COA are the same as your example... also missing some other fine details around the lacing of the COA

And then sells a color one later here:  http://us.ebid.net/for-sale/michael-jackson-signed-mjj-productions-...

Note the corners (one hump not two), and this one has fine details along with a signature, and different font in the print as well.

Wow is all I can say lol...

Michelle,

This is my answer to your question about which Michael Jackson autographs I think are genuine in the Tompkins & Bush sale:

I think that lot 582 is genuine.

I think that lots 649, 651 and 661 have a shot at being genuine, but I don't think they are.

I have no idea about lot 795.

All the other lots of Michael Jackson autographs are fake in my opinion.

582 is genuine.

i'm not sure about those toy animals.

SOLD FOR $700. A BIT STEEP. BUT AT LEAST IT WAS GENUINE.

Wish me luck,, looks like im going on my own,, I got my mega phone, hundreds of fliers, and a banner...  too many talking the talk, but not walking the walk, the rest too busy kissing fraudsters behinds,, shame u guys are not local,, Lets see if Juliens clicks "Like" for this one!!!

"IT ONLY TAKES ONE SNOWFLAKE TO START AN AVALANCHE!!!!!"

Good luck! Don't forget to stand by the entrance to the parking garage or valet station while people are coming and going. I heard that there might be half a dozen protesters or more.

TeamMichael777,

A member of Michael Jackson's family told someone I spoke with today that you are more than a fan...you're a hero.

TeamMichael777,

More then just a Hero, a True friend to Michael!  That is something money can never buy.

Thank you.
