On December 2, Julien's Auctions is selling The Collection of Tompkins and Bush. The collection contains 465 lots of Michael Jackson memorabilia, 287 of them autographed.

Michael Bush and the late Dennis Tompkins were Michael Jackson's costume designers for 25 years, during Jackson's most successful period. They were the consignors of the signed Thriller jacket that Julien's sold for $1,800,000 in June 2011.

Almost all of the autographs in the Tompkins and Bush sale are a variation I'm not familiar with. I've only been looking at Jackson's autograph for a few years, though, and we have members here who have collected him for decades, so I'd appreciate your input and exemplars.

If you know Michael Jackson's autograph well, please look at a few images below from the auction and let me know what you think. Even better, browse the auction and upload any similar examples you have: http://www.julienslive.com/view-auctions/catalog/id/77/

Julien's is the world's premier auction house for Michael Jackson memorabilia, so they would know his autograph better than most of us. I'm just surprised I haven't seen this style before.

Thanks for your help.

I find it rather amusing when looking online for things that one can find some of the clothing Michael wore that looks more authentic than what is now being auctioned off, like this coat (werewolf coat in Thriller).  http://www.lamag.com/citythink/askchris/2012/10/31/displa-case-18-m...   Also shows its age, as it should (similar to the large photos of Cap EO Disney disply).  The coat auctioned off a few weeks back looks like it was just sewn.  http://www.julienslive.com/view-auctions/catalog/id/77/lot/33823/

Take a look at this link everybody. Michael signed this Britt Romero Print and yet to me it is not his typical signature, yet you can see Michael signing, not in the same place but the pic we see of him signing another area looks the same from what I can tell. If I seen this autpgraph without knowing it, I wouldnt believe it.  What do you think?

Also, this link to my face book album of items sold at auction. This photo which was sold at last Juliens sale was originally sold in May 2009- before MJ passed.

I don't like either of those J5 photos.

well since Jermaine isn't in either and he signed its rather amusing :)  Its one of the discrepancies we noted earlier..... but now that there was one sold before MJ died, probably has nothing to do with Bush/Juliens.

Probably doesn't. People have been forging MJ's autograph for decades. One of the most prolific MJ forgers is reportedly Shawn Jackson.

Look you guys, this was sold awhile ago. Either its a fake or there was more than one of these too!

Its not the same brooch.

But in the add it says it was worn on the white house jacket.

Well, we had very detailed photos of the White House visit on this thread and the brooch under the link is not the one he wore. The White House brooch has a single big stone in the middle surrounded by lozenge shaped rhinestones. The one pinned on the MTV jacket that Lady Gaga bought is a much better match in this case.

Bush isn't the only fraudster out there...

I know, its crazy isnt it. Tons of stuff!
