Hi Steve,

I have dealt with the individual who sold it on ebay. He is very reputable, as i've purchased from him previously and since had i2 items authenticated. I also happened to investigate this very piece and in my opinion, i find the autographs to be genuine. I am just sorry i neglected to bid on it. If you bought it, i think you got a fantastic deal. Just my thoughts.

Thanks.  I had gotten Levon in person a few years before he died, and he would only sign non-Band stuff, so I was a bit concerned here, but the signature I got from him did look like this, just the Levon was a bit more legible.

I'm making an informed guess that Levon Helm's refusal to sign Band items began with his learning of the large scope of forgeries in those and so many other rock autographs.  He did sign a Band item for me in 2002.

Hi, I just started a new thread, but perhaps I should have just posted on this one.

Anybody have in-depth knowlege of The Band autographs, especially Levon's? I have had positive feedback on the other signatures but Levon's has been questioned. This is either a very early piece signed sometime between 1973-1976 or its a fake/secretarial. Feedback? Opinions? Thanks, it is greatly appreciated.
