Hello Nathan! Call me one of the fools...LOl. people do change thier sigs & others learn (me) Well done on the 'Shake Up' & would love to see more pics. Nice score mate! Cheers

the Robert is very atypical but I have seen it before.  I have one that my cousin got me when he was in the Band of Joy with Plant two years ago.  the Robert is different. but they are both real.

Congratulations, Im a zep fan and would love to meet him.

I've met him back stage a couple of times.  really down to earth, cool guy.

The fact of if the signature is authentic falls completely by the way side when an opinion is asked for in this manner. If you want to test opinions and members, this isnt the site for you, i suggest Autograph News Live. The signature may be 100 percent authentic, and if you know its good, then you have no reason to ask if its authentic. Again, this is something this site sees constantly and is a sole trait of those who have alterior motives. Their is a guy named Hassan on this site trying to do that as we speak.

If you came here to see whose opinion to trust and respect, then you judge that the same way we all do. Look over the site, see whos more knowledgeable in what areas, and then proceed. You dont try and "test" a forum, its absurd. And then this goof line of coming back in 7 days to tell everyone the story. Not only is that ridiculous, but really makes no sense whatsoever.

But here is what i can guarantee you. When you try and "test" the forum, you wont get even 1/4 the amount of replies that you would have, if you would have asked in a normal fashion. Those that are very knowledgeable, will now never speak up. And those that have already answered are more likely to shut up and let the thread go cold. When people see threads like this, and especially when you know they were real and still asking, and then this stupid 7 day business,  then the entire autograph community pretty much draws a line and stays away. Because it spells one thing...alterior motives. So wait 7 days and come back, but you will more than likely find it extremely challenging to have anyone comment on your autographs in the future.

This kinda crap gets old and is despised by just about everyone i have ever had the privilege of meeting on this site.

Carl a bit touchy I think...you have people on here all the time saying this is real this ain't real and people especially newbies consider these opinions as fact ....I have no ulterior motives I am a very successful photographer who over twenty years has amassed a huge collection of memorabilia and autographs....and your hostile response kind of proves my point....I think a good forum like a good democracy needs to be tested everyone once in a while and the people that don't feel that way and kick off and whinge and moan as you have above "This kinda crap gets old and is despised by just about everyone" would be the ones I would be more concerned about.

too many of you are happy to say NOT REAL IMO.... with no real justification....

But hey that's just my thinking...after all I am on the left of politics.

Bumps Carl!

Hi Nathan,

Now it is the right way up I can see it is fairly similar to the style he used in the 1970's when all of Led Zep were relatively easy to get autographs out of. I have met him several times and it seems only in recent years he tends to personalize purely because of the Selling aspect. Jimmy Page now frequently attends Collector Fairs in the U.K. where he looks for vintage Film posters to add to his collection but he won't give an autograph to anyone. The last time I got Robert was purely by chance at a football game where I saw him getting out of his car at Blackburn Rovers Football Ground and what seems like a million years ago I was in a local band with John Waite who went on to be lead singer with The Baby's etc and John had been out with Alison Krauss who had been on tour with Robert. We chatted for a few minutes and he signed mine and my son's programme before posing for a picture with me. Two other people then asked him to sign white cards and he personalised both of them. One old football fan asked me afterwards ' Who was that scruffy old man you just got an autograph from ' - to which I replied ' Only the greatest Rock singer of all time '.

Unlike some of the adverse comments you have received I don't have a problem with your reasoning. One good piece of advice is far better than 25 which are no use whatsoever. As happened recently when someone on here asked for opinions on a Michael Jackson autograph he received so much conflicting advice that he was no wiser for asking. That included the classic ' I'm no expert but ----'

By the way - well done to you.

nice plant signature ken. but I think somehow you and many others misunderstand the purpose of this site. if you want a clear opinion (and dont think discussions like this dont go on behind scenes at the third party authenticators, sometimes they dont agree), then pay the money and go to to PSA or JSA or Roger Epperson. you will get an opinion.  and maybe that will make you feel better.

we are here to discuss autographs, and offer opinions. sometimes they are conflicting but that is how we all learn.   if you come to this site for a quick opinion, then you will sometimes be disappointed.  you have to expect discussions, and conflicting differences of opinion.  handwriting analysis is not an exact science by any means.

there are a lot of people out there that continually monitor this site for fodder that they can report to their pathetic, small group of followers.  posting something here for an opinion that you have gotten in person, just to "test" us and "see who we can trust" is not an accepted practice here, and the thought process if faulty.  if someone happened to opine correctly on this unusual style of Robert Plant's signature,  does that mean you would automatically trust their opinion on Elvis?  The Beatles?

Think about it.

Very well stated Terrier.  Bravo.

fair enough terrier...

Absolutely Terrier. People that are interested in "testing" the members here, have no place here or really at any autograph site.
