I thought this might be cool. Tell what concerts you are going to see. Let us know if you liked or disliked the show. Maybe show a picture, autograph, guitar pick, drumstick, or a cool story .

Killer Peter!!!! That's hard to beat. Just got my Buddy Guy ticket yesterday. I'm working on going to Vegas to see the Crüe.

Last night saw heart and jason bonham, a great show. They were selling bonham signed drumheads for 30 bucks at the merch counter. Next up the eagles july 16 then pink in October. Got an email from rockartshow that I could meet paul McCartney for 5  grand in dc

I sure want to see Heart/Bonham. Don't they play a handful of Zep songs together at the end? Did you get a drumhead? Be sure to tell Paul I said hello!

Yes,they did play some zep songs and I was impressed with bonhams singer also. I did buy a drumhead but I wont shell out 5 grand to meet McCartney. I could afford it but Im not that much of a beatles fanatic ( though I have his and ringos sigs) They said they have 5 spots left for the meet and greet.

Im going to "enhance" the experience RW The Wall concert, because Gerald Scarfe has exhibition in Prague and he should be here for the opening day...

Very cool Peter! I didn't think you could "enhance" that show, but that would do it!

I saw Heart/Bonham as well at Bethel Woods they were incredible! I am going to see Bad Company and Lynyrd Skynyrd at the end of the month also!

I don't guess I'll get to see Heart//Bonham. I want to bad but they are not coming to Charlotte. Heart coming to Asheville in two weeks, but not with Bonham. Syknyrd/Bad Co. played here last night. Wife wouldn't let me go, her dad's Birthday. If she would have gimme three steps she'd have never seen me no more. Have fun at the show Joel, let us know how it was.

I certainly will Barry

Iveseen many a concert in my day. Still got the ticket stub to Live Aid at Wembley stadium in 85 somewhere around my house. Seen J5, Diana Ross, Phil Collins with and without genesis, John Lennon with Ono, U2, Journey with Perry and with Arnel. McCartney a few times, Prince, George Michael, and the Smashing Pumpkins. Most recently I got to see Fleetwood Mac for the 2nd time in my life, and I gotta say Nicks still has that voice. I hear she is a pain in the neck to get to sign stuff. Though I'd love to have a fully signed Mac album. I saw the Eagles and The Beach Boys a few times, and I've never heard a bad set with them. Saw Floyd and Led Zep, both great shows. Got a chance to see Roger Waters alone a few years ago as well. Out of all the shows I got to see in my day, I'd have to say my top 3 were Michael Jackson during the Bad tour (git a ticket for all of $30-can you even remember when a show cost only that?), MJ's voice wasn't in top form, but I was very excited to be there since I'd only seen him once before with J5. Number 2 fav show has to be Roger Waters a few years bac. I know ill pprobably get a lot of flack for this, but I saw Floyd with all original members preform the Wall, (well, minus Syd of course) and I still felt Roger solo was just a better show. Partly because technology was so much better, but also because I was impressed at how great the guy still performs. Number 3 was Live Aid. Almost died of heat exhaustion, and the sound quality was awful from what I can remember, but it was a legendary show, and it held many of the greats in Wembley all at once. Best voice quality from the performers or prettiest show? No. But a wondrful experience none the less. Who here is an old fart like me that remembers only having to cough up a few dollars to see the greats when concerts were just promoting an album? Here's to hoping ticket sales will drop back down!
I've got a few signed Freddie Mercury and Queen stuff. Used to follow the boys around the US in my wilder days. The wife did too, actually. She got to met Fred before her and I met.
I got to see Aretha Franklin last year too in Houston. I got the written setlist and the cup she was drinking her hot water from. Still got the lipstick on it lol. The setlist isn't written by her hand (at least I don't think). But the guy cleaning off the stage after the show was nice enough to hand it over to my son and I. We didn't ask for the cup, but he handed it to us anyway. Ill post some pics when I can get my boy to send them to my email. I'm on vacation right now, but I figure thats about all I can realistically add to this thread lol
