Here is an interesting Sandy Koufax signature, authenticated by Ebay's approved TPA, Global Authentics (GA).

For comparison, I have included a typical authentic Koufax signature below.  Can anyone explain to me how this Koufax signature could possibly be considered authentic?

Here is an example of an authentic Koufax autograph:

That's not even close, the guy must have blinked when "authenticating" (rubber stamping?) a pile for some big volume customer. Just inexcusable.

Here is a better photo of the signature in question:

another great job by Greasy Ass authentication. Looks like Lary Kufe to me...

"Larry Kufe" ROFL Fudd. There is NO WAY these items are even being looked at by GA (Garbage Authentication).

And this one one of EBAY's approved authenticators.  I could spend all day coming up with ridiculous items like this, that carry the NEW GA cert (not the one with Baker's signature).

What the hell am I missing here????

IMHO GAI just changed their name to rid themselves of the Mantle/Williams/DiMaggio debacle since people started catching on to those forgeries.

As "GA", they dove into the new stars, and the same amount of forgeries (if not more) exist. Take a look on eBay and you will see 10x as many GA certed Peytons/LeBrons/Puigs/Luck/any big star/etc as there are JSA/PSA/DNA.

It boils down to: Make zero money certing LEGIT items (because who in their right mind would send something to GA to be authenticated), or make money certing everything. At some point you have to make a "business" decision, and GA/Steve Sipe chose to go the cheap dishonest route once again.

There is NO WAY anyone over at "GA" had most of this JUNK in their hands at any time. Unless they have hired illegal immigrants to "authenticate" for $2/hour.

Even more sickening is the fact that eBay still allows this garbage to sell, in fact, they PREFER IT!!!!

Exactly right. Steve Sipe knows that there will always be begginers and collectors who are unaware of how bad GA sucks at authentication. They remain relevant because of these impulse buyers that still purchase Burcyzck, AAU, and STAT junk. Some people are just content hanging up the cheapest autograph they can find to impress their friends. They only care about authenticity when they try and resale it.

GA is no different than AAU or STAT except they accidently get authentic signatures in from time to time.

that then puts them in the same category as Morales, Max, ACE, etc which I understand. what I don't understand is WHY ebay has a banned authenticator list, and GA is NOT on it.  that is what I don't understand.

the pieces are coming together as to who may be on the EMR board
