I just bought a poster on eBay that the seller claims he was given at the world premiere of the Fast & Furious 6 screening on May 7th in the UK. It is "signed" by virtually the entire cast and has holographic stickers indicating authenticity. I have looked online and believe I have been sold a forgery.

I'm pretty sure those studio stickers are used by forgers.
And the autographs look fake yes? I have looked up "rock"/"dwayne johnson" autographs and can't find anything close to this.. I have requested a refund through paypal and they have placed a hold on the funds. Is there any chance this is legit?

In my opinion: no chance it is authentic, just another common poster forgery. Like many here continually repeat, about 95%+ of "cast signed posters" are fake. Buying a poster for $5, scribbling on it and selling it for hundreds is a lucrative scheme.

Agreed. what im wondering is how is it possible that these are still being sold all over ebay and every where every month when a new movie comes out. one would think because these are fake and not officially from major companies like WB or universal that someone would actually crack down on this major scheme! sad people are losing lots of money for forgeries with flashy holograms! a friend of mine has one from the dark knight rises premiere and its signed also by the Warner Bros. Studios Special Events executive director Hillary Harris. i wonder if someone can contact her and or there office and see what they say about the items. i know she supposedly signed off on all the Dark knight rises premiere memorabilia

you are correct

Total junk, well done on opening a case and you should be able to get a refund

Wow. Thanks for posting this. I was literally moments away from purchasing a similar item with the hologram sticker, perhaps from the same person or group.
People are bidding in the hundreds for these things. I want to help warn them all!

Happy to help.  I reported the case to eBay directly who said they are going to look into it.  I also brought up that countless "fake posters" are up on eBay at the moment.

The good news is that the seller contacted me.  He asked why I set up a dispute case and I told him that I had the poster verified as a forgery and that the holograms were reported as fake by various online sites.  He responded with "that's very odd as I was at the event and know it's an authentic poster.  But I will refund your money if you'd like.  I replied with a yes and he refunded me immediately".

He never responded about sending the poster back to him.. so I guess that's the nail in the coffin on it's authenticity.  If it was real, I would imagine he'd want it back LOL

Here are a bunch of links on Movie cast signed posters just from our site    here

That is incredible.  I can't believe this same guy continues to scam people.  I suppose it makes sense.. why stop when you're making hundreds cheating people.

He used this email address : brutnaced@gmail.com and used the same "Film Premieres"

THAT'S HiM.
