I have had this autograph since 1964. A friend of my Dad's, who worked for the Associated Press travelled with the Beatles on their tour, got the autograph and gave it to my Dad to give to his daughter who he knew was a fan. I have tried to get it authenticated- with no luck. Opinions please

I hope this is not a duplicate reply

I realize there are problems with the signatures. I do know I've had them since 1964. I don't think people did deliberate forgeries back then. I just think it's difficult to assess autographs if you think that the Beatles were hanging in the hotel room maybe signing a bunch in a row, maybe having a few drinks. I actually thought the Ringo impression made it more legitimate. Why would you 'practice' a signature by jamming it on to the edge  of the paper.

Never seen anything as bad as this one

Check out the similarities between the "rr" in "Starr" and "rr" in "Harrison"

All look like very very bad forgeries

Sadly someone along the line lied, not saying the intentions where ill but that was not signed by the band. There is no way that is an authentic autograph it appears either badly traced or copied.

It's a real shame when people are led to believe that what they have is the real deal when it clearly is not. These are very poor, I agree but someone not in the know would have no reason to doubt them. I feel your pain....

Like I've said knowing how and when I got them I never doubted their authenticity. With the 50th anniversary of the Beatles coming to the states coming up I started researching the signatures and saw the problems. I guess I still wanted to believe they were real since I felt there was no reason for any deception. I guess I'll just put it back in the envelop they've been stored in along with the program (with the typo) from their Carnegie Hall performance (which I went to). Thanks for your 'sympathy.'

One of the worst forgeries I've seen in a long time...sorry...

wow cynthia, it really does suck that you have had these all these years thinking they were real. i feel for you. these are real bad fakes.
