Ryan Paul,

Centered, off centered, on sweet spot, off sweet spot etc does it make the signature any "real'er" than the other? You can almost lay those 2 "M'S" on top of eachother for a perfect match. The one I posted with the ACE coa is one of the earlier Mariano forgeries and the one you posted is a more current version. Like I stated in the earlier posts the forgers CAN NOT get he M and the R exact which is the key to determining these forgeries. With all of that being said and what others have said in this thread that have experience would you still consider keeping this ball? I'd hate to say this but if you like it and convinced yourself its "real" then by all means keep it but if after all of this you have the slightest doubt its Authentic then return it and take your money and buy a nice authentic Mariano Ball. I know for me if there is the slightest doubt on the authenticity of an item I don't want it.

I'm not sure what else to say on this matter that hasn't already been said. I know as far as I'm concerned there is nothing that anyone can show me that will make me change my opinion on these Mariano signatures.

I will be contacting the guy. All I'm asking you guys for is the means to make an argument. Telling me look at the entire post because its littered throughout doesn't exactly narrow it down for me. I'm sorry if I'm frustrating anyone, particularly you Jason, but you have to understand that telling the seller, " look at this cool blog im on and what these ppl had to say about this signature" isn't going to be a valid argument. Even if I use the picture with the droopy M, the seller could easily say that that one is COA'ed even if it isn't real. Please try to understand where I'm coming from. I'm not trying to be nasty or mean, I post these things so that people can help me, not tell me I'm convinced of somethings authenticity otherwise I wouldn't have posted here to begin with.

In any regard, thanks for the help. I'll be sure to mention the questionable M and R when I contact the seller. I'll be sure to post back if I need a copy and paste kind of argument, which I guess was what I was asking for to begin with. Something you say, very potent, that I could then reiterate to the seller verbatim.

thats another good idea. i might do that. and if they say likely authentic, then authentication is 10 bucks off. if not likely genuine, then we can settle this case. i will do this when i get home from work and then post back results!

I'm not frustrated and/or mad at you, I'm just tired of seeing people making money off of these forgeries.

In my opinion all you have to tell the seller is you are not comfortable with this baseball based on opinions from many people here. As you can see from the black baseball that Ryan posted below it is all the same "M" that is the dead giveaway and knowing that PSA/DNA authenticated that ball doesn't put any comfort that they are getting it correct either because these are the same forgeries that have been posted on this site for years now and "Authenticated" in the hundreds by other companies. eBay is very aware of this style of forgery which is why they don't last long when listed for sale.

If the seller stands behind this ball than he shouldn't have any issue with giving you a refund, not to mention that no matter what eBay has you covered under the "Money back guarantee". If you feel more comfortable with a PSA/DNA quick opinion then by all means go for it but it'll be a waste of $10 especially when I think you got some very candid opinions on here for FREE. The quick opinion is actually going to give you less information than what you received here. All PSA is going to say is "likely genuine" or "likely not genuine" they wont tell you why they think it's good or bad.

Good luck with this and I would be curious to see the results of the QO.

I take PSA's opinion on Mo with a grain of salt, they certed this (and after I inquired about it basically told me "If you don't like it, don't buy it.":
