just got a inconclusive from JSA with regards to Micheal Wehrmann

Hello All -

I just had a Carmen Electra signed photo looked at by JSA and they said it was not good.  It comes from "Collectables of the Stars" and the cert is signed by Michael Wehrmann.  I did see an old thread in the forum here with regards to Wehrmann.

Does anyone know where this person is or how to get up with him with regards to the photo not be authentic?

Thanks!

Mark

The signature is clearly good

Thank you for all the posts regarding this signature. I am going through a lot of my collection and thinning it out is why I want to get this authenticated - thus sell it. I had never heard of Mr Wehrmann and it was not my intention to call him out or did I claim that the photo is fake. I wanted to try and contact him and let him know that It did not pass jsa.

Thanks

Mark
Mark- you're fine. You posted the facts....nice job.
I can 100% guarantee that each and every item that Carmen Electra signed for Collectibles Of The Stars Inc. on April 8 1996 is authentic. I was involved personally with this private signing with my partner Michael Michael Wehrmann. Both Mike and his girlfriend at that time witnessed each and every item that was signed by Ms. Electra in her agents L.A. Office. Each and every signed photo was numbered  & everyone was accounted for.
The problem most likely would be that these items were signed by Carmen Electra in 1996 prior to her becoming a well known celebrity. I am sure that JSA would not easily have exemplars of Carmen Electra's 1996 signature in their library. Was this an on-line examination were you were told that the item is not likely genuine or do you have a full paid turn down letter of examination?
If possible could you also let it be known who at JSA examined the item and said it was not authentic ?
Thanks

Hey Michael -

This was an full examination this past weekend

I win send you an email.

thanks

Mark

I was just wondering who from JSA did the examination. I am not blaming them, I just feel that this is not a signature they would at all be familiar with. There is nothing wrong with saying I am not sure or I do not know that autograph. If you wish, P.A.A.S. will authenticated the item for you for free with a full Letter of Authenticity.

I really appreciate that Michael. Would I have to send it in or show you a copy of the back of the picture??

Thanks

Mark

Mark,

I am sorry but yes you would need to send the signed photograph in for a physical examination. I must make sure that it is not a copy of the original,  and we most photograph the item and add the P.A.A.S. numbered hologram. Our turn around time will be 7 days.

After being in the autograph industry and now the autograph authentication business for over 35 years , I can say that a photo with the celebrity in most cases means very little, unless you truly trust the seller or the person in the photo. It does in many cases give the buyer piece of mind and some confidence in the private signing even taking place.
That being said here is an actual photograph of Michael Wehrmann on April 8, 1996 in Carmen Electra's business office getting the 600 photographs hand signed.

Wow, 600 photos of Carmen Electra, he must of thought that she would amount to something .Not bad on the eyes but just thinking of Dennis Rodman makes me shudder.

thanks for posting that!

Awesome!!

UPDATE!!

There was some communication error on my part.  I did not get a NON Authentic on this photo.  I got an inconclusive.  Sorry if I misspoke it was not made clear to me.

JSA customer service is EXCELLENT and they are taking a second look at this.  I will keep everyone posted.  They really go above and beyond.

I also really appreciate Michael from PAAS helping me out with this.
