Hi all,

A while back I picked up this Plastic Ono Live Peace album from a long time collector - she is from Wales, and throughout her collecting history has gained a few Beatles autos, direct from old promoters that are family friends, etc., so she seemed to really know her stuff.  I don't have a full history on this piece, but it looks really legit to me.  In person you can see the indentation the pen made in the autos, so it's definitely not a stamp.  No hesitation marks appear evident, and both the autos and the doodles look correct to me!

Times are a bit tough so I am considering listing this on eBay, but wanted to get some opinions beforehand, just in case everyone thought it was fake... I know opinions are only those, but I figure the more info I can get the better!

Thanks very much in advance!  :)

If this is a forgery it is a very good one.

These 3 are more examples of the Southern California forgeries, correct?

I am familiar with the so. cal. forgeries.  they all exhibit the same "flatness".  I am not convinced that this is one of them.

I've emailed Roger Epperson & purchased a quick opinion - looking forward to hearing his thoughts!

His quick opinion is that it is a common So Cal forgery, so back to square one, as I am sure it is not as it shares none of the common characteristics of the So Cal fakes.

Sorry Barry, but i would have to agree with Roger. I cannot find the Live Peace album cover photo's that i was describing, must have deleted them.

Another So.Cal Lennon...look at the letters L and E in Lennon...same slant...look at the way the letter N is formed in the last name Lennon...look at the pointy tops in both N's...the dark spots in the the letter N in the last name..where the pen starts and stops...

I agree with you on this one.

Hey Terrier...You know that most of the time...when John signed an autograph...for the most part...they were rushed...because Lennon rarely looked at the item that he was signing...I'm not saying he didn't look at the item..

...but to find so many that are readable...and the letters are neatly formed...it's gotta send up some kind of red flag.
