The attached are all stamped to the reverse "William D. Hosking Collection". I do not feel comfortable with any of them. The Hepburn looks hesitant, the Harlow looks like a Mama Jean and the Lombard is atypical (though this could be because it is early).

Does anyone have any thoughts? Was/is Hosking a well known collector?

Jean Harlow is by her mother, Carole doesn't look like anything I have seen before. Interesting Audrey in my opinion: looking from the distance I can see some positive in the autograph itself and in the writing comparing to her early signatures. But overall I don't like the angle and I don't feel comfortable with it and wouldn't buy it without some good proof.

I found that Tom Kramer from JSA has some autographs at his site goldenageautographs.com dedicated to this "William D. Hosking". Not sure Is it the same Hosking or not... If it is- that's a good sign, as Tom Kramer wrote many articles for isitreal.com and I consider him to be a very pro expert with vintage Hollywood.

Are this Autographs already in your collection?

No, they are being auctioned next Sunday. There are eleven items in all. The auctioneer is not a specialist in autographs.

I bought a Judy Garland from the same collection a short while ago and that was definitely genuine - famous last words!

I attach more of the eleven - this time Astaire/Rogers, Lake and Hayworth. I am more confident about these, even though I have not really studied their autographs in detail.

By the way, if you click on any of the six items I have uploaded you should get massive images.

No, I'm an unmodified pug. I live with my niece Linda.

I have to confess that I have listened to very little Zappa. I had to Google to find the reference. One Zappa track I do like a lot is "I'm The Slime".

This is totally off-topic but I've attached a close-up of me and my niece. Hope you like them.

Super cute. Does Linda also collect vintage Hollywood or she is more about Space/History/ Politics? I guess the paw print of the first dog in space is pretty valuable..

Back from the off-topic: I think that those that are dedicated to this William are good- he must have got them in person or through the mail. Rogers and Astaire look good to me, I'm not very good with the others.
