Thanks!

Ed Bedrick is a UACC Registered Dealer and attends just about every show cross country to meet stars in-person.  If I'm not mistaken he used to be the Regional Director for all of New England until the UACC decided to do away with these positions.  I do know he used to post regularly to an online newsgroup of individuals who were pretty tough on forgers and I can only assume he'd have been eaten alive there if he was selling fakes.   With show-attending dealers you have to always be aware that they will likely be buying autographs for resale and as such, you shouldn't be afraid to ask him or any dealer exactly where the signature came from.  From my personal experience, Ed seems like a stand up guy.

I agree completely with Michael.

I have bought many authentic autographs from Ed in the past and never had a problem.

I have also met him in-person at several shows in the NYC Area and found him to be a an

honest in-person dealer with great product.

Thanks.  From what I have read he seemed good.  Just wanted some actual experiences with him.  I placed an order with him today.

I agree with the gentlemen here.  He is a pleasure to deal with.

I happened to have a much different experience with him so take it for what it is worth.

I agree that he attends shows, has private signings with many stars at the shows and does sell legit signatures and is a good person. I am still on his email list and see what he is up to.

However, I made the mistake of trusting him just because he was a UACC RD. About 5 years ago I purchased some items from him. The items I purchased from him were later submitted for 3rd party certification (after I listed a few for sale on eBay and they were removed by Trust and Safety)  and about 90% of them failed (I think I bought maybe 10-12 autographed photos but no longer remember exactly).

Fortunately, he did refund my purchase. I used to have scans of them but I cannot locate them today or I would post a few for comment. Sorry.

I was just forwarded this blog post just today. As it was forwarded to me by a friend. First off I want to thank all who have posted in this group on this (my) topic.I rarely come into autograph groups. All through I should more to share my experiences and where I will be. I think I have lined up 10-12 shows this year so far.

As for my credentials what Mr. Kasmar has posted is accurate. And those who know me KNOW I put authenticity above sales. I have also produced 3 books currently (and working on my 4th now) on authenticating in person examples.

So let me address Tracy now. First off Tracy I am sorry you feel that way about me and my business. But as for 3rd party authentication of verification. I personally believe it is a BIG joke. It is 3rd parties "opinion" as to whether THEY think a autograph is authentic or not. Here is how it/they work. A panel of 9 and majority rules. If 5 says if legit and 4 doesn't.. The piece is legit and authentic. If you contact me directly I can forward you an article the PAAS has been banned from E-Bay due to their authenticating. Which I believe I got from a email that this forum e-mailed out.

I had one of my pieces looked at..just to see.. and it was a very C-B type actress. Certainly no one would bother forging. It came back as bad..but.... OOPS.. I had a photo of me standing next to her WITH her HOLDING the exact photo as she was signing it.

On a second note..and this was awhile ago as you say 5 years. The part where I did not refund a purchase. I would have NEVER told anyone I would not refund them. SO I do not remember any contact or someone asking about a refund for 8-10 photos. That is something a dealer would remember. My policy is this --- (for everyone) I have a 10 day return for ANY reason policy. Which means and scans sometimes are not 100% accurate. So when you get the photos in your hands if you simply don't like it return it. After the 10 day inspection. I do offer a lifetime guarantee with every photo I sell. I only ask that if you question authenticity in the future after the inspection. IS that you follow UACC guidelines rules in asking for return and refund.

If you, or anyone in this forum has a question please feel free to always contact me directly: Scorpio741@aol.com

For those who have purchased from me if I had intents on selling bad items. You would not get a COA from me which is a full invoice. Stating my full name on the COA. My email, my home address, item, price you paid..etc..

I would  be doing those generic COA's from those dealers who give them out and all they says is.

"The autographs on the photo you purchased is guaranteed authentic forever. Returns accepted anytime for authenticity reasons only." Then you look at the COA and there is no way to contact the person or even who you bought it from.

I do hope this answers some questions that may arise about me and my integrity.

Thanks for the update Ed. However you said we should ask about any autograph . Thusly, I have a question for you.

Where did you get this Jessica Alba? I have never seen that signature from her.

I don't know anything about Ed Bedrick, but I do know that this he is absolutely wrong about this:

"It is 3rd parties "opinion" as to whether THEY think a autograph is authentic or not. Here is how it/they work. A panel of 9 and majority rules. If 5 says if legit and 4 doesn't.. The piece is legit and authentic."

First of all, each authenticator, legit or not, has its own rules. But not ONE uses 9 authenticators. PSA/DNA generally uses one or two, and JSA, three or so, depending on the item and who's around.

I consider patently false statements like that reasons to avoid doing business with a dealer, not matter what organization they belong to.
