The last 2 Star Wars images with the checkmark signatures belong to a friend who lives in London. I am down to only about 60 pieces.
The last 3 pieces I got from her are the 3 before the SW images, and I have retired from attempting to get her to sign anything else......she is good enough not to refuse to sign, but her autograph is now worse than Pacino's.
Wow what a shame I hate check marks.
The last known Natalie Portman signatures in the US were signed in December of 2009 while she was at an after-party and all 3 of them did not look anything like a Portman signature. She had been drinking, so my guess is it loosened her up enough to sign a few, but it didn't help the graphs at all. Before that she signed 3 or 4 pieces in November of 2008 which do look like her standard autographs.
I have seen 1 or 2 pieces signed in Europe since 2009, but I obviously was not there, nor can I verify them.
Dating all the way back to 2001, it has been Natalie's usual response to a request for an autograph, to have her security or friends circle around her and then they all run away.
That is actually fascinating information. With that being said, how much would an avid collector of Star Wars autographs be willing to pay for an autograph by Portman on a SW photo?
That is kind of a trick question, for a number of reasons.
#1 I consider myself an avid collector of Star Wars autographs and I wouldn't give ya a nickel for her.
#2 The last Star Wars items she signed for the public were teaser posters for Ep1 on her way into the press junket in NYC, she left that day and has refused to sign anything SW since, unless it is signed for charity auctions.
#3 No authentic Star Wars photos signed by Portman exist. The pieces she has signed for charity have been oddball items like snowglobes, Amidala childrens costumes, Lego statues, Hasbros spaceships, a magazine and a handful of posters. I actually have seen a single 8x10, which I beleive she signed by mistake in a crowd (the image was very plain with no SW images or costumes visible) the owner was asking $3,000 for it. No takers that I am aware of.
