I've never done TTM autographs, but I'm wanting to send some baseballs and cards to complete a few collections. I checked out previous discussions on different pens to use, but was just wondering if there was an updated list of your favorite pens for baseballs. I'm assuming the pen of choice for cards is still a Sharpie ? The baseballs I'm sending are all 1995 World Series balls, would you include insurance ? Is a bubble mailer the best way to do this ? When sending TTM, do you guys include a pen in your SASE ? Do you use handwritten or typed notes ? OK, any suggestions and tips would be deeply appreciated !

I received two autographs from Yogi Berra about two or three years ago TTM for free and had them both PSA slabbed.  I agree that a lot of players will sign, but even if you do get an autograph back, there is no guarantee that it is real or that person signed it.  The best way is to have it authenticated by PSA, JSA, or SGC.

I've gotten items returned in the mail in the past only to find out later they were signed by someone else. Case in point, John Madden.  He DOESN'T sign ANYTHING in the mail.  I even sent him a letter asking for permission to send him some items and that I would pay a fee.  I got a return letter back that said go ahead and send your items at no charge.  When I tried to get them authenticated I was told they were fake and that he doesn't sign through the mail period.  If see people saying they have received items from him signed ask if they had them authenticated.

As an Indians fan, can't say I'm a huge fan of that Braves team...

A lot of players do TTM, especially retired, so ignore the first comment. I don't personally include any pens or sharpies, but you can. I personally type my letters, and then sign my signature. Handwritten probably are a nicer touch though.

Understandable 24rubiks.  : )  I'm not a fan of quite a few teams for the same reason, mainly the Evil Yankees. Thanks for the input, I'm working on handwritten notes right now.
