In my opinion they are generally worth $600-$1,000. Of course as long as something is genuine, I want to get the best deal I can on it. You can do a search online of course on ebay and also use the google search engine to check for signed copies of the book. Anyways just my personal opinion.

I'd generally agree with $600-1,000. The one you're looking at will be at the high end. Less expensive copies are usually inscribed. Uninscribed always more expensive. Also, Edge added "Best Wishes" and Larry and Adam both added last names. All three additions add to the value. If you're looking to buy and hold for yourself (and not sell for profit in the near term) paying around a grand is reasonable. This assumes you can get a LOA from Roger.

When these hit Ebay in 2006, I remember most going in the $800 - $1500 range (and recall inscriptions not hurting prices as much as you'd think), though that price was probably do to the excitement of them actually doing an organized signing. As the signing (at least the NYC one) went along, Larry noticed how many non-fan Ebayer crashed the party and started signaling the rest of the band which people did not want an inscription (i.e. were going to resell the thing) with a circle/cross mark.  Bono wrote "Beautiful E-bay" on several of them.  It didn't seem to affect the price they went for :)

I still hold that the books represent some of the easiest U2 items to authenticate.  Forgers just can't get it right.
