Id crawl across broken glass for a meet and greet with Brian. How many artist have blown Lennon and Mccartney away with their song writing?

I agree. I'm curious if he'll sign anything at his meet and greets. The "package" includes a piece of signed sheet music but I don't know how much I trust something like that...not signed in front of me.

I met Brian at a meet and greet at BB King's in NYC a few years ago. He was very kind and did sign for everyone.
He did have a female handler that was not so pleasant.

Wilson played here in Jax tonight. There was a meet & greet I did not participate in but was outside the venue when it was happening-before and after. It was $500, and for the 35 people in it, it took a total of 20 minutes. Wilson's manager limited autographs to two per person, and from the way it was described to me by two participants, it was an assembly line, where Wilson sullenly sat at a table, his manager taking your item(s), sliding them to Brian and another person on Brians left handing them back to you, and if you tried to chat up Brian, the manager pushed the "we have a lot of people to get to so let's keep it moving" thing....the dozen participants I spoke to after we not happy at not being able to talk to him much if any..

It all depends on the experience. $500 is a ton of money no doubt. However, if you factor in being in the first 5 rows plus sound check, receive a signed Love & Mercy exclusive tour sheet music. Then anything you get signed by Brian, Al, and Blondie...I think it is worth it.
Also getting a chance to thank and shake Brian Wilson's hand (who would have thought he would still be touring?) you might not get a 2nd chance at that. Just my two cents with my experience.

I guess it's all in a persons level of "fandom" I guess. To an uber BB fan, meeting Wilson, shaking his hand, getting his auto might be a highlight of his life. To a casual fan, it might be nice, nothing more than watercooler talk the next day. Since I didn't attend it and only spoke with some participants afterwards, I cannot fully gauge how the experience was. I'm sure most were happy with the event as it was..I'm one of those guys that has been collecting autos for so long that the idea of paying for them is a difficult thing to swallow- and the fact that I got Blondie and Al on multiple items outside the venue only reinforces that, but the fact I didn't get Brian blows a hole in that, lol..
I'd wager that there is some level of disappointment with any meet & greet experience, no matter the artist- I recall some voicing anger after a KISS m&G that cost $1000 and there was no Gene or Paul at it, I recall even more anger after an Ozzy m&g that cost $3000 and Ozzy spent exactly 3 minutes in a room filled with 300 fans and signed 3 autographs, shook a few hands then left..I suppose it's all in what you think you're getting for your money- from a few sigs to a deep discussion on the state of the world, lol...

I agree about the fandom. It is also about having a reasonable expectation for sure. Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys are only behind The Beatles for me. I may never get to meet Paul McCartney and Ringo commented on a sign I was holding during a concert, but I probably may not meet him either.I appreciate the little bit of time I had with Brian (as well as meeting Al and Blondie and Mike Love/Bruce Johnston this last summer which I did for free) to thank him.
The concert was great as was sound check. The autographs are all mementos, but the experience was what was worth the money. I try to keep the positives present and not dwell on the negatives. You are completely right it is only worth what you are willing to pay and hope it lives up to what you expect.

I just recently seen kiss and the meet and greets sold out uber fast! ! 1200 au dollars, a little steep in my op, but brian Wilson is worth it.

Obviously it all comes down to what it's worth to the fan, so it's a bit hard to criticize to an extent. Some of the feedback I hear back on big name modern superstars (Britney, Demi Lovato, etc) and older rock stars (ZZ Top, Wilson, Motley Crue, etc) just makes me nauseous. I understand shelling it out for an incredible fan experience that isn't accessible to everyone, but I get so many stories about poor treatment or a virtual non-experience that it frequently makes the excessive prices unforgivable.
Again, if shelling $500 out for 2 IP autographs from Brian Wilson is your thing (i.e. the only way you're *sure* it's authentic), okay then. I've spent an unholy amount of cash on my favorite band, so, again, I understand that certain things some fans find ridiculous are completely worth it to others.

Its your money so spend it how you will.
I think the thing that would have dissapointed me with the kiss m and g's, is the fact they were selling autographs at the merch stand. If i paid 1200 au and seen signatures for 40 dollars i wouldnt be real happy.

Absolutely, but some of the stories I've heard about fans paying insane prices for shockingly poor experiences (i.e. the KISS and Ozzy scenarios described by Terry above) are pretty awful.
Saw a pretty popular tweet recently from a Demi Lovato fan who described the cold treatment from her at her expensive meet & greet.
