Steve asked me to start a new thread since some were having a lot of issues with regards to whether or not the through the mail autographs of Jerry Lee Lewis are real or not.  I will post some examples of what we have been getting recently and some know in person examples.   These TTM signatures are not cheap.  You have to pay $50 for them to his box office box.  The question is are they real or not.  Roger has said that he has never seen Mr. Lewis sign this way and it looks to perfect - like a woman's signature.

Please post your thoughts here and examples.

thanks

Mark

That one is not real.

What you stated Ballroom -  has in no way been proven.  Jerry Lee Lewis does not mix up his combination of cursive and block letters. I have not seen a REAL example that shows that.  Not one.  I have more than one example showing that he only writes in cursive.  Also - someone from Jerry camp stated to me that Jerry always writes in cursive.

Your expert told you that the signature on the "Pop Goes the Country" photo on the previous page is authentic. Also, XP Autographs claimed to have obtained it in person. Why would someone simply write "Killer" and then have JLL sign it? Is it not obvious that the inscription and signature are in the same hand?

XP can claim anything they want.  They selling it?   I don't believe that the photo you are talking about is authentic either.  That of course is my opinion.

EVERY authentic Jerry Lee Lewis, I have gotten, the inscription was written in cursive.  I have not seen 1 authentic one otherwise.

Mark

No, they aren't selling it. It had already been sold when they made that claim.

I have this example (lined note card) as an exemplar as well. It is a beautiful example.

Another "Killer" inscription:

Is there any examples of a real one??  A real one that you know is real - that we all agree is real? One that has been certified by either PSA, JSA or Roger. This one is not real either - in my opinion.

What's the point? You seem to place a lot of importance on having a signature blessed by a professional authenticator, and yet you've thrown out every one that PSA/DNA has correctly authenticated. You accept that the signature on your debut LP is authentic, but won't show what differentiates it from those you believe are fake in such a way that they should be considered fake.

A nice JLL signature:

You are right.  I do place a lot of importance in having a signature looked at by someone (expert) other than myself (who is no expert).  What is wrong with that??  I still think PSA got this wrong.  That is my opinion.  I recently got 24 signed Jerry Lee Lewis items in a collection (signed contracts, posters, album covers and 78 records).  And NONE of them looked like this one.  NONE. And it just so happens that ones we got in the mail before all the stink look like the above… hmmmmm

I will go to the post you want me to post on regarding difference I see.  I will do that now for you - Ballroom.

Mark

I'm not asking for the differences. I'm asking what differentiates the signature on your debut LP in such a way that only it should be considered authentic.

Notice how when Jerry Lee writes - Keep Rocking or Sincerely and then adds "from" at the bottom on another line.   He adds the "from" like its a next sentence - at the bottom of Keep or Sincerely.  My album you question has that. And then on the next line he writes "Jerry Lee Lewis".  Also - look at the "r" in from.  That is a very strange way to write and "r".   The "from" on my debut album matches the "from" on the Keep Rockin cut perfectly.
