Scatman Crothers _ Opinions needed, please! Is this authentic or a secretarial signature?

Is anyone on here really familiar with his signature? 

Does anyone know if Scatman Crothers ever sent his fans, secretarial signatures back in the 80's?

This was sent from the National Broadcasting Company, Inc. in Burbank, California, back in July 1981..

I collected The Shining Autographs and  these signatures with inscriptions are consistent with ones I have seen over the years.  I would be very surprised if he used a secretarial signature. I like the second one better than the first.
