Some of my recent self obtained autographs.... / Robert Cray, Steve Miller, Skynyrd.....

Hi there again,

So, lets start this - here I´m going to show some of my recently self-obtained autographs.

First one is a Steve Miller autograph. I know he does have a very nice signature. Well in Munich, Oct, 30 there was no chance to catch him up before the show and I´ve heard from the promoter, that he will leave right after the show for airport. So only way - after the show at the stage. And yes, alot of fans where there and wanted to get their ticket stub signed. I´ve had that Joker album with me and he catched that one up first. Very - sad - he did not wrote his full signature - just that, yes - aweful "curve". I was a little disapointed, as he wrote his full name to some tickets... anyway, It´s now MY Steve Miller and my only one.

this was also last week - just went over to the venue and catched up Robert Cray another time.

A Little update.... was able to get two albums signed by Lenny Kravitz yesterday in Kepmten (Germany). He did a huge open air concert. Well, I can only say - it is extremely hard to get his signature. Without any contacts to the road managers or having access to the backstage area it would not have been possible for me. Also it´s Close to impossible to get more as 2 items sigend by him - this is something like respect you need to have. By the way - Ive heard an increadible inside Story. Ive been told by someone "important" yesterday that it is quiet common procedure that the "stars" asking them to sign the items that been sold at the merch! If they refuse to sign it, it will be the last time you are working for this celebrity/star. So they just do it. One of the names I remember from the discussion yesterday was Chris DeBurgh. Be Aware that the items they are selling on the merch could be fake....

so, here are my Lenny autographs :-)

I really enjoyed reading and looking at your cool memorabilia Martin. Your Scorpion albums are my favorite. But all are great! Thank you for sharing.

Rockn Roll dream come true! Backstage picture from yesterday after the Show from Jackson Browne - I guess I was the only one that was able to get an autograph from him - but I only had the new Album with me on Vinyl...

finally I was able to collect Richie Blackmore yesterday here in Munich. Well it was today early in the morning at about 1:15 he came out of the venue and about 30 fans were waiting. Just one security and the fans went crazy - it was a huge chaos and very direspectful how the fans treated Richie to get Pictures and autographs I have to admit. But anyway - I was able to get my Rainbow Album signed. He signed it while I holded the cover over the heads of about 20 fans. Close to impossible to get a better sinature - he did sign into Jimmy Bains signature... but anyway - I love this one :-)

That's incredible, well done! I have not heard of Blackmore signing Rainbow (or Deep Purple) stuff in years.

That little overlap just adds "realism" to the piece in my opinion, a real on the street signature. Also the fact that the signatures are in different colors really helps here. Overall a very balanced and absolutely fantastic looking piece.

Congrats - I have heard he doesnt sign rock stuff since early 00s..... Did he sign Deep Purple stuff (In Rock, Machine Head, Perfect Strangers or Made In Japan) too???

I would like to know that as well. Maybe he's changed his attitude now that he's rumouredly going to be playing some rock gigs next year. Or it could just be the crowd situation and the manager not being in viewing distance.

we have been warned yesterday by other fans not to give him any Deep Puprle and Rainbow items. But the situation was so chaotic and dangerous situation for Richie and Candice yesterday with all the 30 fans and just 1 overstrained security. Richie was kind of pinched by all the fans. I think he just added his signature to this without thinking about what he is signing. As for my knowledge he just signed my Rainbow and the Rainbow album from my friend - no other albums. - see below Picture of the Rainbow Album from my friend. My friend had also DP Albums but no chance - too many fans. And - most of them only had their tickets to sign and wanted to take pictures - but again - sitution was really dangerous and Richie only tried to get to the car then...

oh, we have been informed yesterday that there is really a plan for some rock Shows soon, But this is only one time - we have heard that they are doing it to have some additional income.... Richie is 70yrs old - Candice just 35? Such an additional Project could be pay the bills after retire...

This is as complete as it can be. Congratulations, but sorry that it was chaos around mr. Blackmore.
Even though I think it helped to get this record signed. Last time I got a rainbow or deep purple record signed by Ritchie was 1995.

totally forgot to post this Dire Straits Album here. I was able to complete the Comuniqé Album some weeks ago.... met John Isley...
