One of the more recent acts on the list, Nirvana could be a big payoff in 20 years for the more risk-loving investor. The band’s collectibles are already selling at lofty price tags—the sweater Kurt Cobain wore during the band’s MTV “Unplugged” performance in 1993 sold for $137,500 earlier this month at Julien’s.
Nirvana is one of the top 1990s bands that are expected to see an increase in memorabilia value over the next 20 years. Paul Fairweather, an auctioneer at Omega Auctions, says he believes they belong to the category where prices “will rise the most.”
Id agree with that Dan, there the items I gravitate towards, id own a sex pistols set but punk is really difficult to authenticate, Pistols, Nirvana..etc.
