I purchased a signed hockey jersey for my husband for Christmas, and sportsmemorabilia.com seemed to be the only place I could find that would ship to Canada. I took one look at the jersey and immediately questioned its authenticity. I've asked for additional confirmation of authenticity but I'm going to get the red tape runaround.
I'm curious, if this corporation is knowingly selling fraudulent items, can't they be charged? Is that not a felony crime? Why is this not a bigger issue and why are people happy to get a refund while the next schmuck gets hosed? I feel like I want to DO something!

Here is a picture. It's not just the camera, the numbers actually look to be slightly different colours, and notice the flaw on the #1. If the autograph is authentic, I'm not sure the jersey is. NHL Career Jerseys also come with an actual certificate of authenticity that include the player's name, but this did not come with one. I have phoned them, but have not heard back other than, "It's strange that it was not included."

There is a second picture in the attachment as well. Thank you.

I took a look at the Theuren Fleury items on their website and they look genuine. What they have pictured on their site and what you received may be two different things though. Please post a picture of the autograph so I can opine. I have gotten Fleury in person on two separate occasions and his signature doesn't seem to change much if at all, so forgeries are easy to spot (Can't see why someone would forge his signature though as he isn't high dollar material), but you never know.

Based on the pictures and my additional comments, I'm wondering if you have an opinion. Thanks.

They just aggregate sellers from all over the Internet and display the items in one spot for you to look at. You will find everything from high end authentic autographs to garbage forgeries. Best thing to do is to get opinions on a specific piece you are looking to buy/have bought.
