It really is a creepy picture knowing what would happen hours later. I read somewhere that MDC didn't actually say anything to John, he just thrust his album for John to sign and when John had finished he said "Is that all you want?" and gave the photographer, Paul Goresh a look indicating he thought MDC was a strange guy.
