Freddie Mercury Opinions Please.
This Freddie Mercury autograph was given to me as a gift a few years back. The older friend, and an experienced autograph collector,had it in his possession from his sister, who got this signed in person, as he told me. I have no reason to believe he was lying.
I have to sell in unfortunately and I was either going to send it to PSA/JSA first, because I know many buyers/bidders will claim it to be fake, etc. I decided to put it on eBay instead and within a few hours, received a message claiming it was 110% fake. I truly do not believe this to be the case, but decided to take it down to eventually send to PSA/JSA when I get the extra $100, to make sure.
I wanted to ask for everyones opinion on this item. The sister wrote when and where it was obtained. At this time, I do have it matted and framed. Any opinions are welcome, but I will still eventually send it to PSA/JSA. Thanks guys! I have seen many examples on google etc....which are VERY similar to what I have,

I'm not one to call someone a liar, so I'll go with that. But whoever you saw signing this item was not a member of Queen. Perhaps you caught a Queen tribute show? Lol sorry, but this isn't fooling anyone. The Game album you posted is a bad fake. This item was never touched by any members of Queen.

The only thing I´m reviewing is the autograph itself - any story can be made up - autographs speaks itself... It´s NOT authentic one, all the stuff is written by one hand and it´s not the hand of ANY Queen member.

Yo Adrian if you're claiming you got that Game album signed in person or saw it signed then we have reason to believe you Mau have forged the album yourself because is totally fake. All 4 are fake. And don't try to bone it on rushed sigs either. None of them have genuine lines or movement. You did not see Queen sign this anywhere at any time because they never did.

You have to prove me wrong. Unfortunately I didn't have a camera...so it comes down to your word against mine...there lies the dichotomy.
A sad situation but I would say that not everyone is an expert...

And yet your fake album is still fake. Hey I was backstage at every Queen concert ever and I was buddies with Hendrix and Paul McCartney taught me how to ride a bike. See? We can all claim things that aren't real. The fact is that your item is fake because all the signatures were done by "someone" who is a bad forger. Why? Refer back to Peters explanation if you need "proof" about what we all already know. It's fake.

Adrian, Peter already did prove you wrong. He gave more than enough info on what was wrong with the album to explain why it was fake. I've been studying Queen for over 30 years. I can assure you and every else here that your album is fake, and was never seen by the band. I'm not sure who you saw signing it, but it wasn't Queen.

As I say the dichotomy is that you cannot prove it - unfortunately I cannot prove it....so it's a stale mate.
Thankfully I don't need to prove it - it's not going anywhere but I do find it sad that experts are not correct all the time. As for the beginning of this thread you bring into question an autograph with a story that cannot be disproved nor proven. And that is the rub with all autographs - I dealt with an Audrey Hepburn once - it was genuine - but three experts and dealers all said it was fake - but it came from her godson who came into my gallery a few times - he had a few autographs and letters from many sets.
Autographs are in the big scheme of things extremely tough to authenticate...provenance is all.
Elsewhere on here there is a Karloff on a 1949 still/photograph - is the signature genuine? To me it looks like a Mrs. Karloff. Boris had arthritis and didn't like signing...often he wouldn't put best wishes...his wife did a lot of signing for him as Jean Harlow's mother did a lot of signing on her behalf...I digress the point is not too many people can authenticate and I have been in the memorabilia business collecting and dealing for 39 years.

What do expect people to call you when you say you saw your album signed and it's a blatant fake? And for the 5th time it was proven fake. But thanks for admitting the obvious, that you have no proof. Funny you talk about others needing to grow up when you're trying to lie about a fake item. Irony at its best Adrian!

The proof was stated multiple times why your album was fake. The John is about 5 times bigger than any genuine one ever is not to mention the Deacon part is an absolute joke. The curves are all in the wrong places and the spacing is totally wrong. The Brian is entirely curved to the right which is wrong not mention its not his handwriting at all. The Roger has a star on the end of it for God's sake. And the Freddie was done after what I can only imagine was a night of heavy drinking. You're kidding with this surely. Don't pee on me and tell me it's raining. a fake is a fake is a fake. And what you got there is a fake
