How to Tell if an Autograph was Printed with the Photo: a Preprint

Hey everyone!, I would like to hear some ADVAICES to know the authenciticity of a signature. Specifically in how to know if the signature is INK or is it is Printed. Is there any method to determinate if a autograph is written with ink or printed? Thanks!

THANKS ALL FOR YOUR ADVAICES...

Now...What type of method can i use with this red pen:

IN A FEW DAYS THIS ONE WILL ARRIVE TO MY HOUSE AND I WANT TO MAKE SURE IT IS INK AND NO A PREPRINT.

Jose,

I had seen this autograph in RR Auction last year. Therefore, Roger & the auction team should have carefully inspected before placing on auction. So don't be worried on this one.

Thanks a lot Kit. Best wishes

Was this on presspasscollectibles? I think I saw it on there. If so no need to worry about it being a preprint.

It was on Autographs-For-Sale.

Both are in AZ, different companies.

This is really great Jose. Congrats!!

Thanks Jan. Best wishes

Jose,

If you'd like, scan it at 200 dots per centimeter when it arrives and upload it here. I'll mark up the areas to look at to make sure it's not a print. I'm sure it's not, but it's good to learn how to make sure yourself.

Best way to see if an item is a print is look at the consistency of the ink flow if not in hand. AKA are there any variations or faded areas that wouldn't be seen in a print.

Once in hand, take a loop and look at the pixels of the photo. If it's preprinted, the edges of the autograph will be square, not fluid. This is the only 100% way to know IMO.

Thanks Jared. Best wishes

put it to the light. The ink will shine if its real.
