When Bob Dylan changed his signature, I know a few who doubted Wehrmann. Then his art came out and it matched what Dylan was giving Mike. But I agree with you. Buying irregular examples is not the way to invest.

Vip Autographs is selling a forgery of Uma Thurman's graph. Their Gwen Stefani's and Joan Jett's are fine though. Of course I can't speak for all of their stock through.

I read your study. You got her signature once but studied a bunch. What proof did you have those you studied were authentic? All those pics you posted had PSA or JSA stickers. Did you use those as a base for assuming they were all authentic?

Why would somebody have a grip of legit high dollar signatures yet slide in a forged Uma Thurman? Makes little sense to me.

The fact I'm seeing the last part of her graph is just a "T" is what's concerning me about it. The last part is usually an arch then a little "M" then trails off to a straight line right away. I can't see that "T" being a rushed characteristic. The "U" is perfectly fine though. So maybe it's authentic but I personally wouldn't buy it. Also, most of those graphs were from the website QuietenTarantinoautographs.com a very reputable site for Tarantino autographs, eveything is in person from that blog.

Thanks Sam. VIP is reputable as well. Pretty sure everything John gets is in person as well. I'm not familiar with the reputable dealer you used for exemplars but will take your word on it.

I have signatures I got in person that are sloppy and rushed. Had I not got them myself I wouldn't buy them. Just cause you wouldn't buy that particular signature doesn't automatically make it a forgery.

It has some good points in it though. The transition from "U" to the "M" is perfectly fine. It's just that stand alone "T" bugs me so much it's something I never really see. Unless I got it signed right in front of me then I wouldn't trust it.

It's a frustrating hobby when i see Mike werhmanns Cobain and Prince and he had others in rr auctions. But my point is if i wanted to consign that Cobain or Prince which was a poor example, im sure rr auctions wouldn't take them and but yet now the pieces will be certified by psa or real. If they weren't werhmanns im sure real or psa wouldn't authenticate them.
It's great if your that reputable dealer but i think we're falling short somewhere inbetween.
