This is genuine and a nice signature, circa early 80's.

thanks, am not really familiar with his sig.  did he make a conscious decision to change his style over the years or did his sig just change naturally?

His signature was like this style in the 70's and 80's and slowly change in the 90's to pretty much what it is today.

This is a good example of his signature from that period.
