I don't know why anyone would say the signatures aren't any good. Those are good signatures. I happen to remember when Kurt used to "Emphasize" on the CD Artwork. Being from Seattle and publishing a fanzine back in the early '90's, I can tell you from experience, first hand, those are their marks. 

Of course it always helps to know the origin of the item in question. When was it signed, What was the venue like, Etc. 

I know it's good to be skeptical and all, but Kurt signed personal items with emotion.
