Another Michael Jordan basketball

Hi everyone.  Looking at potentially picking up this Michael Jordan signed advertised as a UDA Upper Deck basketball. 

There does appear to be a hologram on the ball, but when checking the database that number comes up as unavailable.  I understand that Upper Deck's database might not be entirely up to date, but I will have to wait until tomorrow to actually talk to them and find out what's the story there.  In the meantime I was hoping to see if I could run the call by you guys and see what you through.

In regards to UDA, everything before 2003 I believe is not available on their website and in any database. You will not be able to call and get confirmation on the authenticity unless you're lucky (and sometimes they do have some pre 2003 in their database) and will mainly have to depend on the sticker, card and of course the autograph itself. What strikes me as odd is that it's not an official NBA ball and the placement of the sticker.

Looks like I'm wrong haha. Odd placement in my opinion though, the autograph itself to me looks decent, but I'm not 100% on it.

I think it's fine. The "J" resembles some in-person examples so maybe he was in a hurry

Upper Deck has authenticated the holo number as being that of a signed MJ basketball...so that's certainly good news.

So any other opinions on the likelihood that the auto is genuine?

Its genuine. Email UDA a picture of it they will confirm it's the same one
