Any Memories of Ernie Banks at Autograph Shows?

Hi,

Am wondering if any of my friends on the forum had Ernie Banks sign for them in person? He and Brooks Robinson were the nicest guests I've ever seen at shows. God bless them.

I met him a few times at the Crosby Celebrity Golf tournament in Winston-Salem, NC. He was extremely nice and a pleasure to talk to.

When the experience is so positive that an autograph guest is worth every penny.  Those memories last a lifetime. Thanks for sharing.

Your right about Brooks Robinson also. I remember one show he shook everybodys hand and thanked them for coming , true class. My biggest sourpuss Willie Mays , Guy that just acted like a jerk on purpose goes to Reggie Jackson.

I got Mays to smile when I brought a glove model he used, but he gave me grief about signing on the side and insisted on the back. I wonder if Mays does shows anymore. 

Sadly, I've heard similar about Hank Aaron, though I don't know for sure. Reggie doesn't surprise me, either.

Makes us appreciate Banks and Robinson even more.
