I have a photo supposedly signed by Dale Sr. and was hoping someone would affirm my suspicions that it's real. I got the photo at a garage sale and the person selling it said the person who previously owned the home had left a lot of their Dale Sr. collection. They also said that the person frequented the races and might have actually gotten the autograph at one of those. I've already decided it's not a print (it's very obviously sharpie on the photo, not part of the paper), but now I'm just wondering if it's really his signature or a forgery. I've compared it with some of his other signatures and it has all the right starting and stopping points, as well as correct flourishes. It's also missing the R and the N from Earnhardt, which seems to be pretty common among most of his autographs. Like I said, I'm inclined to believe it's real, but I don't want to get my hopes up until I receive more opinions.
