I think this company has been discussed (and criticized) before on other threads.

It probably depends on the item and authentication.  I typed in Aaron Rodgers, and the results were mixed.  From a quick glance, the JSA witness protection, MM and Steiner stuff looked just great (as expected), but the GA items are very clearly forged.  I checked a few other Packers names and found the same thing with Clay Matthews and Greg Jennings - JSA, MM, other big name authenticators looked fine.  GA items were fairly poor forgeries that were quite easy to spot.

Thank you for the helpful information.

So then JSA witness protection, MM & Steiner are pretty much a sure thing regarding authenticity of their signed items.  Can the same be said for the athletes who have their own holograms to go along with their signatures?  Ex. Drew Brees, Brett Favre, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon, etc.

The Favre stuff with the Favre holo looked great. I would think that anything with the athlete's own authentication is going to be just fine.

This website is also the "smcomstore" seller on eBay. They have TONS of items for sale, most "Buy it Now" but they do accept offers, and I've purchased quite a few at nearly half of the price it was listed for originally. I feel confident with the JSA/PSA items they have, I have a few GA ones from them that I believe are authentic. They have a 100% lifetime guarantee, so if it's ever proved a forgery you can get your money back.

just do a search on the aml threads for them and come to your own conlcusions.

essentially, you need to know what you are looking at as for every authentic item there are boatloads of non-authentic items, regardless.

just one example;  a quick glance at their Charlton Hestons... on the first page I saw perhaps only one authentic one and 19 non-authentic ones including non-authentic ones with PSA/DNA COAs.   Didn't even bother to look at the other two pages.

So this claim; All of our items are guaranteed authentic and we pride ourselves on our excellent customer service isn't worth the print it's written on.  It's almost as funny as this "guarantee" such as it is;

Our Guarantee is simple: If any item we sell is ever found to be of doubtful authenticity, we will issue an immediate and no-questions-asked refund. Thankfully, in our 12-year history as an online memorabilia retailer, we have never had an item returned for authenticity. The excellent reputation of each supplier we do business with is the reason we stand behind every item we sell. Since we opened our hand-signed memorabilia division in 1996, we've built relationships with the most reputable memorabilia companies in the business
