Would like to know opinions on this DiMaggio signed baseball. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

The gs looks kind of off to me.

I saw this on ebay, with the yankee clipper sticker.  This is one of those signatures that, even if real, I would not want because John T already stated the "gg"s are off, and that is normally a big red flag.

These are the Gs I am used to.

I thought the g's looked a bit off as well and the d. Upon looking at the ebay store of the seller, it appears to be Ralph Perullo, who bought the DiMaggio estate in 1999. I even followed the link to the website, should this make me feel more comfortable, and is he legit that anyone is aware of? My gut is split 50 50 on the piece. Something tells me its off, but the seller seems to have credentials. Thank you both Terrierhof and John T for your help.

This is one I am not 100% sure on, but I definitely don't like it. It looks alot like this one which I have in my exemplar folder as "Shrinking Forgery"...

Thank you Ryan, I'm gonna have to pass on it, as all the opinions seem that it is off. Plus the price seems too good.

What is the price on it?

$345

I see authentic ones for under $300 from time to time. Just keep an look out for it. It might not come with COA thought. Just be patient, i got couple at fair prices.

Clay, I think you made a good decision.  This is one of those items that even if it turns out to be authentic, it is not typical or even a good representation of his signature.  that could be why the price seems attractive.  It all comes down to what you want in the end, but for me, I would pay the extra money for a nice, crisp "slam-dunk" signature, of which there are hundreds available. and if you look long enough, and if you are patient, I bet you can find a nice example for around 300.  I know I did.

Well said, and the advice has been taken to heart. Thanks everyone for taking the time.
