I took a chance this week and picked up this Mantle cut signature at a local antique shop, along with a few Yankee yearbooks ('63 and '64), and two Dell publications with feature stories on Mickey.

Would love your thoughts on authenticity, and if authentic, what era?

It has a certification on it. You can go to the link above to see the certification as a genuine signature. The string of numbers in the serial number given to the item from PSA on the item you've shown above. Hope this helps!

Thanks Regency.  I did check the cert number in the shop, but this signature is very different than my other Mantle's.  I'm not nearly as familiar with his early signatures, and hope this is one.

I have great respect and faith in the Mantle experts in this forum, and I'm hoping they agree with the PSA opinion.

Authentic IMO, early 50's I'd guess. Others will be better at giving you a precise time.
