Throughout some threads when we had some civility between the force and the dark side of the force as in good discussions and focus as much as one can muster... a good deal of information can be learned by collectors.
Recently, in my Secretarial Thread It appears that a Dick Van Dyke Show with Mary Tyler Moore & Dick Van Dyke based on commentary appears to also not be authentic. I have advised Autograph Store repeatedly with regards to both and more dissatisfaction.
thus to be made aware is to be advised.
I am sure this is going to be an expensive lesson but I will be posting the acquired inventory early in my quest...for commentary. The Mary Tyler Moore & Dick Van Dyke above was obtained from Anthony Nurse's BTB and the Charlies Angels AS.
There will be more to come for commentary in the next few days!
I am amazed Autograph Store has not been shut down and Anthony Nurse, Michael Tobin and all of those behind the company are not in prison.
Every item is a fake and so many are now on eBay and elsewhere and are helping destroy this hobby.
Such a tough question, buy a real one for probably a couple of hundred that will go up in value or buy a terrible fake for about $50 that one day will be worth $0.
Here is a current offering that has popped up in a few places previously;
On the left is a current cast offering of an "alleged" authentic pic (and I say that loosely) of the Witches of Eastwick. On the right is one from another auction in May 2012 and below it are the 3 female cast members from R&R 2006.
It is uncanny that the AS item has seemingly attempted to replicate the one to it's right. There are several distinct signing habits the AS Cast pictures possess and it's unfortunate noone can pinpoint the real source where these are coming from.
geea, take a breather for a minute around here and voila all hell breaks loose...My naming conventions are pretty accurate with regards to file names but alas I have many various docs to review to see if I need to eat my words or not. Sometimes sources can be gone so it does make the task more formadable. If a mistake exists then I have broad shoulders but some of the dialogue.....
incidently, If I had simply stated the following I would also not be able to pull up the specific auction as it is no longer searchable but in this case I can specify the auction number and date if need be.... but that is a different discussion
x10X8 Color Glossy photograph from; "Planet of the Apes," signed in blue felt tip inks; "Linda Harrison, Nova," and "Charlton Heston." Some believe the Heston could be signed by a secretary. Still a nice item in mint condition. )partial pic but have full version if need be!)
Great Movie!
Sounds like you are suggesting I begin chanting in latin and join the singing monks while hitting themselves on the head with a two-by-four on this one.
LOL, not at all, I have absolutely no idea about this or any modern Hollywood signed stuff. I really just loved the movie!
now that the dust has settled here is a current offering of Huey Lewis and one from Mike Aring that he obtained in person. Can you figure out which one? If the current offering isn't to your likely there is always Georger Harrison or a mere $299 for Jefferson Starship. btw, the one on the left is Arings.
