I recently got a signed CD (by Christina Grimmie from "The Voice"), that would've been signed in 2011. The CD, being cardboard, looks aged a roughed up on the sides, and the silver ink is a bit faded in parts. Could this have been done on purpose, so it would look aged? Would it be that hard to make this? I can see all that work being done for a huge star like Michael Jackson, but not for a contestant on The Voice, who not many people knew.
Thank you. Any thoughts will help me.

I don't think that's a likely tactic for something signed that recently. I know nothing about her autograph, but the wear and tear is looks a product of someone who just didn't take care of the cd - thrown in the back seat, put in a purse, put in a pocket, etc.
Christina was the opening act to a Selena Gomez concert, and the seller told me they were at the concert for Selena, but got Christina's autograph just "because". So yeah, it'd make sense that it wasn't taken care of well. Thank you.
