Whoa.  Fraser's has a nice reputation for absurd pricing, but I always though their stuff was supposedly legit.

Its so sad and those are very poor and amateur forgeries. Its a shame!!!!!

Why would someone forge a signature and then put "To Glen"!?  I seriously doubt that first one is forged. I don't know tons about Elvis' autograph, but if for some reason it's not real, then it's secretarial.

Secretarial = forged.  If that's what it is, Fraser's should know better.  Especially if they're going to mark up the prices to wazoo.

Actually Elvis signatures seem to be unique in that aspect from what i have seen. Most Elvis forgeries that people post on this site have dedications and inscriptions. On most celebrities, a forger wont bother with personalizations. But that doesnt hold up with Elvis. I have been shocked to see the number of forged Elvis graphs with inscriptions and dedications. It seems that forgers have realized that most buyers wont expect a signature with a dedication to be forged, and they are capitalizing on this.

Carl sorry to come in this way can you respond to my freind invite if you desire ?

Robert

Sorry Robert, i didnt see it, ill friend you now.

That is because many people (I know a few) asked the MM or other people on Elvis Tours to have their stuff taken backstage to get signed.  Of course the person taking it back asked for the name.  Once backstage, someone else signed it.  It was a horrible practice set up by whoever on the Elvis tours.  I wish they would just have flatly said no then we wouldn't have all these bogus autographs floating around.

Very Very good point..  I wish the there was a study done on which ELVIS signature was done by say.. Red West, or Sonny etc.  I have read that some of the MM got really good signing for the King. It would be interesting to know who signed what and would be helpful to collectors.

I hope Fraser's will see this and take action.
