I touched upon this fact when I posted the photo. Being an autograph collector, I was recently asked to handle the sports department at the collectibles shop that I have work in for the past decade. My collection has always been focused on entertainment and sci-fi celebrities, so the sports stuff hasn't been anything that I have ever spent a lot of time learning.

Among the items I discovered filed away in boxes and cabinets was this fantastic Ruth signed photo. It already had a JSA letter, and a friend at PSA told me it should be graded.

It seems that this site has an abundance of people with a great handle on Ruth's signing styles and I would love some unbiased opinions.

There are other very cool items without any 3rd party COA, and If you guys don't mind, I'd love to get your impressions on them as well.

They include what I believe to be a pair of '65 Yankees balls from Bill Stafford's neighbor, a '74 Yankees ball with Munson, Catfish etc, and an early signed team ball featuring Mel Ott.

Thanks,

Pete

Nice Ruth and certainly authentic without question in my opinion. May be worth grading but they have to authenticate it before grading it and the cost for both is probably $350 or so.

If it already has a JSA LOA, I probably wouldn't spend the extra money as they will likely grade it an 8 which is not going to greatly enhance the value since it is personalized. If it was not personalized, I would probably grade it.

Please put up the other items, would love to see them.

I am back to work on Monday, so I will have pics then. I will pop up the few I have on my phone now.
