The only information given so far is that Ruth signed it in Halifax in 1942. That matches up but is obviously very weak provenance.
Not sure. I asked for more pictures.

Dated August 2nd, 1942 in Halifax. The seller said the cut was signed August 1st.
Never knew that haha. I'm thinking the auto I showed is likely not genuine, but I'll wait and see what the seller comes up with as proof. Any chance that Ruth is more of a "rushed" signature?
