Bought a Muhammad Ali autograh that came back fake on quick opinion, what should I do? Also does it look real?

I bought the following Muhammad Ali autograph on ebay. However after searching around a bit, it seems to compare to stuff that the forgers of operation bullpen made. I ran it through psa/dna quick opinion and it immediately came back likely not real. However when I contacted the seller they said they would not refund me unless I got a real in person verification, stating he knew for a fact that it was signed in person. I really don't want to pay out the $100 to get it reviewed, especially if it is fake. Thanks for the help.

I figure if it was real it would go for $1500-$2000?

If you paid via paypal maybe you could file a claim because the item was not as listed (obviously not authentic).  For the future I recommend you only buy things off eBay authenticated from 3rd party graders such as psa/dna, jsa, and steiner, especially on autographs by people such as ali, mantle, jordan etc.   This seller is obviously a scammer with that "in-person" crap that we have all heard from eBay sellers sooner or later.  Sorry and hopefully you can a refund

I've seen a couple of exemplars from ali as well and his last name never looked quite like that especially at the end with those "bubbly" looking letters

Thanks guys. I asked him if he'd refund my authentication fees if it came out fake, and the guy changed his tune. Hopefully I get my money back now.

Tell him you will be posting Negative feedback because its not real, that may help. But watch how you do it if he agrees to refund upon you shipping it back, do so with tracking and make sure all contact is done thru ebay system not outside via email that way you can file a claim with ebay to get your money back. Also Travis is a good resource for boxing info! Use him!!

I met him years ago at an Orange county sports show and he signed an 8 x 10 photo for me.Im thinking about selling it and will let you know If I do.He signed it very shortly but he signed it!!He was in no rush either, and basically all he could do at the time in his deteriorating condition as I watched him sign it.

You may have to eat it, however might I make a quick suggestion. Notice the pic of Ali signing, he is not signing the exact piece.. which.. I can let slide. Because sometimes in my rush I forget to photo my piece.. and get the celeb signing the next one. HOWEVER! notice that Ali seems to be holding a BLUE end pen. That makes me nervous.. notice the little things anytime you buy.

OK so, back to your request. I feel they should refund with PSA quick look.  But if not, you may want to try to go thru paypal.. IF not.. you may have to eat it.  Lesson Learned, we have all had one in our lives.

Thanks everybody for the help. I got the refund so everything's good now!

Glad to hear!

This was signed for me in the 90s by mr. Ali.
